How it's made
The process
Every bar starts with lye (sodium hydroxide) combined with water and blended with our three oils. That sounds alarming until you understand the chemistry: lye doesn't survive the process. Through saponification, the lye and oils react completely, transforming into soap and glycerin. By the time the bar has cured, there is no lye remaining whatsoever. What's left is a pure, mild bar of soap and nothing else.
The cure
We cure each batch for a minimum of four weeks. Longer cure times produce a harder, longer-lasting bar and allow any residual moisture to evaporate fully. No shortcuts, no additives to speed things up.
